Hi, I'm the creator of Routetrees.
Like many of you, I started out trying to manage my cybersecurity implementation progress—specifically, the CIS Implementation Groups—using the Excel spreadsheet provided by CIS. It’s a solid starting point, but as I got deeper into the process, I realized I needed more than just a spreadsheet. I tried converting the tasks into recurring items in tools like Asana, Monday, and Microsoft Planner. I experimented with building dashboards, linking policy documents in SharePoint, and even creating a custom webpage to bring it all together. What I ended up with was a collection of half-finished systems and a growing sense of frustration.
In my search for a better solution, I kept running into the same problem: the tools that did what I needed were either too expensive or too complex, often requiring significant time to configure or customize.

Is Routetrees a homegrown project? Absolutely. But it’s built with scalability in mind, and my goal is to continue expanding its features to support more frameworks and use cases over time.
